Violence committed on the Yahoo Web site how should I?

Uncertainty from Mando: YAT, would you like to explain how I committed violence on the Yahoo website?

Heres the violation send by e-mail:

“Violation Reason: Hate Speech & Violence

In Yahoo! Maybe you can get your attorney “Crooked Bob” to answer for you all.

Also send them a complaint or an appeal.

Answer by try this again

You posted something that someone complained about. You can say liberal or conservative and it violates the community guidelines. YA!’s report policy is a joke.

I’ve gotten a few of those. How many strikes before they ban you? I try not to post anything too bad.

Answer by John D “Your ad here”

Well how about telling us exactly what you said so we can try to tell you why you got that notice (since I really doubt this post will elicit an answer from them).

“How many strikes before they ban you?”

Not very many. “Hate speech” in particular seems to be taken quite seriously (as it should be). I was surprised to get a suspension notice about two weeks ago for an answer that contained a homophobic slur, but I was reinstated because I was only quoting someone else whose answer I was criticizing.

Bottom line; if you don’t want to get suspended, don’t insult or threaten people, or use racist or intolerant slurs.

“It does not look as if the statement meets the violation stated (ranting or unresponsive, maybe) but not hate”.

But … you don’t even know what he said. (?)

Still curious – what did you say?

Answer by dinodino

The notice doesn’t say you committed violence. I doubt further explanation will help you.

Lol i dont see it but some did and dob you in.

I hate wankers like that, i got served one just a “eye for a eye” comment cbf complaining

Trolls make complaints about speech they want to censor. It does not look as if the statement meets the violation stated (ranting or unresponsive, maybe) but not hate. Do an appeal, they will re-post the answer and limit impact complainer has on community. You also get 10 points for winning the appeal. It takes a click of the mouse, real simple.

Answer by allende

you have 47 points, everyone and their brother can hit “abuse/vio’ & you get a love note in the email

yahoo does nothing to screen complaints.or look at them before pulling posts off,,,they (sunnyvale) use yahoo for just pr,the forum advertisers are listened to ,not the users, does as much good to holler at your tv set about forum deletes as it does to contact sunnyvale about a mistaken delete,

they do not bother at all,,,build up points by answering innocuous stuff, with a couple thousand points

if you make effort to give decent answers, you’ll get fewer of these

Answer by Englishman in Kentucky

F*ck ‘em! (I’ll probably get a violation for the exclamation point)

Answer by Joe

I don’t know if many people know this, but there is a group run mostly by Jews and Israel supporters . That goes around marking question for violation as a group. They will star your question, than inform those in their group to report you. Next thing you know, your account is closed due to many violations. It doesn’t matter whether your question is legit or not. If you piss them off on any previous question, on issue they disagree with you on, they will quite you down with this tactic. They Usually have a three letter initials under their user name.

They are trying to censor information on Yahoo. Particularly about their political and religious belief.
