Excel: How to display the text instead of the value specified what should do?

Inquiry courtesy of Dan: Excel: How do I display specified text instead of the value?

In Excel, I want to show some text instead of the actual value or hyperlink.

The reason why is because I have made Excel generate a hyperlink based on certain conditions, and if it is a link instead of showing the entire code in the cell it would be nicer if it looked like a button by saying “SEND EMAIL”.

Can anyone help?

=if(condition,”SEND EMAIL”)

Hyperlink can add a friendly name after the link simply add a coma and then insert friendly name.

give a full example here is something from one of my books.

=IF(ISBLANK(C7),”",HYPERLINK

(“..\”&C7&”.xlsm”,”New Book”))

C7 represents the new book name but not in link format. So if C7 is blank it shows nothing “”, otherwise it puts in the hyperlink using New Book as the friendly name.

Be sure much better?
