How to automatically receive an email from Android?

Problem created by Cameron: How to Automatically Receive Emails on Android?

I am a new owner of the Samsung Fascinate and am wondering how I can receive emails without having to open up my “email” application to sync it. I have set it to sync every 5 minutes but that does not seem to be working. This is a big issue because my emails are usually urgent and I cannot keep on checking the application to see if I have new emails. I have also tried using the “gmail” application but am having the same issue. If anyone could help that would be fabulous!

if your emails wont come in automatically, there’s probably something wrong with the phone. You can try taking out the battery (leave the phone on when you do this) for a few minutes and then try it again. If it still doesn’t work, it’s probably something in the settings- take it to a Verizon store

email pebbles

Shot by means of email pebbles

Email is such a funny thing. People hand you these single little messages that are no heavier than a river pebble. But it doesn’t take long until you have acquired a pile of pebbles that’s taller than you and heavier than you could ever hope to move, even if you wanted to do it over a few dozen trips. But for the person who took the time to hand you their pebble, it seems outrageous that you can’t handle that one tiny thing. "What pile? It’s just a pebble!"
